La magia della voce di Andrea Bocelli e uno dei teatri antichi più affascinanti al mondo. Il celebre tenore toscano ha annunciato la nuova, imperdibile data italiana. Il 1° settembre 2023 sarà al Teatro antico di Taormina per incantare con il suo emozionante spettacolo, fra arte e musica, una platea che si prevede internazionale. Uno dei grandi miti del terzo millennio, capace di attrarre appassionati da tutto il mondo, ritorna quindi live in Italia, accompagnato dall’Orchestra Coro Lirico Siciliano, con alcune guest star, in un repertorio di celebri arie d’opera e delle sue hit più famose. Il concerto è organizzato da DuePunti Eventi, in collaborazione con Live Spettacoli e con il patrocinio dell’Assessorato Beni Culturali Identità Siciliana e dell’Assessorato Turismo, Sport e Spettacolo della Regione Sicilia e della Città di Taormina.
“Il concerto di Andrea Bocelli sarà un evento straordinario, come lo fu quello del 2019, quando arrivarono spettatori da ogni parte del mondo – dichiara il sindaco Mario Bolognari – La città di Taormina, oltre all’onore di accogliere un simbolo del bel canto italiano, ne riceverà un aiuto per la promozione del territorio e delle sue strutture turistiche”.
Riconosciuto in tutto il mondo come icona della più grande tradizione vocale italiana, Andrea Bocelli ha venduto oltre 90 milioni di dischi. Ha perfezionato le sue capacità canore sotto la guida del suo mentore, Franco Corelli, e inizialmente è diventato molto famoso per aver vinto il Festival di Sanremo nel 1994. Allo stesso tempo, ha iniziato la sua folgorante carriera classica, eseguendo sul palco capolavori del repertorio operistico – diretto da Lorin Maazel, Seiji Ozawa e Zubin Mehta. Con i suoi concerti, frequentati da grandi folle, ha infranto ogni record del settore dell’industria musicale. Tra i suoi innumerevoli riconoscimenti, una stella sulla Hollywood Walk of Fame, che gli è stata conferita nel 2010. Nel corso della sua carriera, Andrea Bocelli ha ricevuto 6 nomination ai Grammy Award e 6 nomination ai Latin Grammy Award. Si è esibito per quattro Presidenti degli Stati Uniti d’America, tre Papi, la Famiglia Reale Britannica, molti Primi Ministri e anche alle cerimonie dei Giochi Olimpici, all’Esposizione Universale di Shanghai nel 2010, all’Esposizione Universale di Milano nel 2015 (insieme all’Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala) e all’inaugurazione di Expo Dubai il 30 settembre 2021, dove ha ottenuto l’ennesimo personale successo trasmesso in mondovisione. L’11 giugno 2021 è stato uno dei protagonisti della cerimonia di apertura di UEFA Euro 2020 allo Stadio Olimpico di Roma.
La sua performance di “Nessun dorma” è stata trasmessa in tutto il mondo ed è diventata trend topic in molti paesi. Il 21 agosto, davanti a più di 60.000 persone, Andrea Bocelli è stato invitato ad aprire l’evento “NYC’s Homecoming Concert” a Central Park, accompagnato dalla New York Philharmonic, accanto a artisti del calibro di Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon e Patti Smith. Nel 2022, UMG ha pubblicato ben tre nuove produzioni operistiche, (“Lucia di Lammermoor”, “La forza del destino” e “Otello”) con il tenore toscano nei rispettivi ruoli principali. Fra gli ultimi progetti, “The Journey – Andrea Bocelli”, un documentario televisivo in onda su Paramount+, incentrato sul viaggio culturale e spirituale dell’artista percorso a cavallo sulla via Franchigia.
