Caramanico Terme non è un borgo qualunque, ma un’autentica gemma incastonata a oltre 600 metri di altitudine, nel cuore pulsante del Parco Nazionale della Maiella.
Riconosciuto tra “I Borghi più belli d’Italia”, vanta un fascino storico profondo. Le sue origini risalgono al VII secolo, in piena epoca longobarda, con una struttura nata su un promontorio alla confluenza dei fiumi Orfento e Orta.
L’impianto urbano è di chiara matrice medievale, fatto di stradine in pietra che si arrampicano e si intersecano e vicoli stretti che si aprono improvvisamente su piazzette panoramiche.
Il territorio offre esperienze uniche nelle sue frazioni, ognuna con un carattere ben definito:
- Decontra: Famosa per le sue antiche case in pietra e una vista magnifica sul Monte Morrone e la Valle dell’Orta, un vero e proprio quadro naturale.
