L’accorato appello del Rabbino Chaim Klein sulla reazione dell’Occidente dopo il 7 ottobre 2023
Riceviamo e pubblichiamo integralmente una lettera aperta alla nostra redazione a firma del Rabbino Chaim Klein.
Poche ore fa, dopo uno scambio di messaggi con il Rabbino Chaim Klein, che si duole della scarsa memoria del nostro Paese e di gran parte dell’Occidente sui dolorosi e sanguinosi eventi che videro vittima, il 7 ottobre 2023, il popolo israeliano di un attacco feroce ed indiscriminato di forze del terrorismo di Hamas coadiuvate da circa 2200 palestinesi. Quell’attacco, che vide la morte in poche ore di 1400 persone, tra cui bambini ancora in fasce uccisi davanti gli occhi dei genitori, e la cattura di oltre 250 ostaggi, nascosti poi nei 700 km di cunicoli sotterranei scavati nel tempo dalle truppe terroristiche di Hamas, fu la scintilla di un contro attacco di Israele per sgominare definitivamente il terrorismo islamico. Una guerra che dura ancora oggi e che purtroppo rischia di avere gravi conseguenze per il mondo intero. Prima di pubblicare la lettera di Chaim Klein vale la pena di ricordare alcuni punti fermi:
- Israele è una repubblica parlamentare con un’unica camera, la Knesset, che ogni sette anni elegge il presidente della repubblica;
- dal 2007 la striscia di Gaza è governata da Hamas, un’organizzazione a carattere politico e paramilitare di ispirazione islamista, riconosciuta come organizzazione di matrice terrorista dall’Unione europea e che non ha alcuna base democratica; ;
- I bambini che vengono uccisi sotto i bombardamenti dell’esercito israeliano per scovare i terroristi, sono bambini esattamente come quelli di Israele uccisi orribilmente il 7 ottobre 2023…ma domandiamoci…chi ha scavato i cunicoli sotto terra nella Striscia di Gaza, in zone strategiche come ospedali e scuole?;
- La guerra, provocata da un’azione paramilitare terroristica che si chiama Hamas…è guerra! E in guerra purtroppo non esistono regole precise nel rispetto dei diritti umani;
- L’ultimo conflitto mondiale fece circa 70 milioni di vittime, tra civili e militari in tutto il mondo, e cosa ancor più grave durante quel conflitto la Germania nazista sterminò circa sei milioni di ebrei, evento che ricordiamo come Olocausto: quello fu un genocidio!!!
Qui di seguito l’articolo del Rabbino Chaim Klein. Che possa essere un invito ad una profonda riflessione per tutti noi.
Ho pensato di scrivere di cose ottimistiche che accadono nel mondo. Ed è possibile che la cosa più ottimistica sia scrivere della cosa più triste.
Perché in questo momento stiamo lentamente iniziando a capire la portata della tragedia del 7 ottobre 2023. Spero che il mondo e l’Italia capiscano la difficilissima situazione in cui ci troviamo e siano più saggi e tengano gli occhi aperti per non lasciare che gli orrori e la tragedia che abbiamo sentito in Israele arrivino in Italia. Purtroppo, questa è la direzione in cui stiamo andando a livello globale.
L’indicatore è iniziato il 7 ottobre, quando Hamas ha fatto irruzione nelle case private e ha commesso violente atrocità nelle pacifiche città e comunità vicine. Uccidendo, macellando e mutilando le stesse persone che hanno inviato palloncini di pace a Gaza e li hanno assunti nei loro kibbutz.
Atti orribili come mettere bambini vivi in forni domestici e bruciarli davanti ai loro genitori. I terroristi tagliano le donne con i coltelli subito dopo averle violentate. Inoltre, mentre venivano stuprate, venivano tagliate con un coltello mentre erano ancora vive. E cercherò di risparmiarvi descrizioni ancora più raccapriccianti di altri orribili atti di crimine contro l’umanità. Pertanto non continuerò con altre descrizioni.
Inoltre, hanno ucciso giovani uomini e donne che stavano celebrando una festa musicale. Tragicamente, 1163 persone furono uccise in questa atrocità. Molte sono state bruciate vive, amputate e violentate, 53 di loro erano bambini, anziani e sopravvissuti all’Olocausto. Alcuni di loro hanno aiutato i residenti di Gaza a ricevere cure mediche negli ospedali in Israele. 3300 sono stati feriti. 251 persone sono state brutalmente rapite e sono ancora oggi ostaggi non identificati. Erano circa 2200 i palestinesi di Gaza e circa 3800 i terroristi che hanno partecipato a sangue freddo a questo massacro e agli omicidi, in cui sono stati decapitati anche decine di bambini.
Pertanto, subito dopo questo orribile shock, lo Stato di Israele ha iniziato a difendersi, non avendo scelta, ed è passato dalla difesa all’attacco. Ora l’esercito ha dovuto abbattere i terroristi a Gaza e purtroppo ha dovuto distruggere infrastrutture, ospedali e giardini d’infanzia in cui Hamas nascondeva e nasconde tuttora i suoi razzi e le sue armi.
Eppure, ad oggi, i Paesi pacifisti del mondo esprimono profondo dolore e condanna per gli assassini di Gaza. E poi succede che i Paesi europei, e tra questi l’Italia, condannano Israele. E, con mio grande rammarico, anche il Papa. Mi spiego: i Paesi del mondo e alcuni Paesi dell’Europa amano sostenere il popolo ebraico/Israele quando si trova ad affrontare “un altro Olocausto”.
Tuttavia, mi sembra che a noi come nazione sia permesso di difenderci fino a un certo punto, ma non troppo a lungo, perché non ci è permesso “vincere”.
Abbiamo imparato che al mondo non piace che il popolo ebraico vinca!!!
Non piace nemmeno al Papa. Sembra che al mondo piaccia vedere il popolo ebraico gemere sotto il giogo degli abominevoli assassini. Ma secondo alcuni il popolo ebraico non dovrebbe vincere.
Tuttavia, noi, il popolo ebraico, sconfiggeremo gli assassini!!!
Distruggeremo coloro che vogliono la nostra distruzione e tutti coloro che vogliono farci del male!!!
E qui mi rivolgo a voi, a tutte le madri d’Italia e a tutti i padri italiani e a TUTTI… i residenti della mia amata Italia. Cosa fareste se un terrorista mettesse i vostri figli nei forni di casa vostra, dove dovrebbero cuocere torte e pane? Cosa fareste se vostro figlio venisse decapitato?
Mi piace porre queste domande anche ai capi di Stato, ai politici e soprattutto al Papa… che soffre tanto per i bambini di Gaza.
Inoltre, nelle città e nelle università italiane tutte le manifestazioni in nome della democrazia sono a favore degli assassini/hamas, e indirettamente sostengono questo tipo di uccisioni di persone innocenti a partire dal massacro del 7 ottobre.
Quello che mi preoccupa è che tutte queste azioni disumane possano ritorcersi contro l’Europa e il vostro Paese in futuro. Inoltre, chi rimane in silenzio, per quanto mi riguarda, è un complice!
In un mondo normale e corretto, il governo italiano non avrebbe dovuto autorizzare alcuna manifestazione a sostegno di questi assassini. Ed è quello che il governo italiano sta facendo, purtroppo.
Pensavo che i Paesi in cui esistevano ghetti ebraici durante l’Olocausto e fino ad oggi, almeno avrebbero capito cosa significa uccidere gli ebrei. Ma a quanto pare l’Italia non ha imparato nulla.
Credo che Dio sia il leader del mondo.
E penso che l’Italia sarà molto dispiaciuta se non continuerà a sostenere Israele e il suo diritto a difendersi con la sua politica di sicurezza.
Perché Dio vede tutto e sente tutto.
E il Papa… speriamo che possa ancora tornare a vedere la fonte di Dio.
Come possiamo tornare alla sanità mentale e distinguere tra il male orribile e il bene.
L’Italia e il mondo intero hanno ricevuto tanto dal popolo ebraico che per generazioni (a differenza di alcuni nostri vicini che preferiscono ucciderci) ha guadagnato in tecnologie avanzate, agri-finntech, start up di nazioni, sviluppo di software. Avete ricevuto molto in campo medico e traumatologico dall’esperienza di Israele nella guerra e nel terrorismo. In molti campi che esaminerete, scoprirete che gli ebrei/israeliani stanno sostenendo lo sviluppo per far progredire il nostro mondo.
Poiché nella tradizione ebraica ci viene insegnato ad aiutare il prossimo e a riparare lo stato del mondo, molti hanno scelto di diventare medici, avvocati, rabbini, ecc. per il bene del mondo intero (Tikkun Olam), e da oggi anche dell’Italia.
Se siete qualcuno che non ama il popolo ebraico, sarebbe bello essere almeno un po’ grati per la sviluppata politica di sicurezza volta a eliminare gli assassini e a sconfiggere il terrore, visto che potrebbe arrivare nel vostro quartiere!!! Le dure esperienze che il mio Paese ha vissuto possono essere di grande sostegno per il diritto degli esseri umani a vivere in pace nel prossimo mondo occidentale.
Potrebbe essere utile imparare un po’ da ciò che la nazione ebraica si sforza di fare.
Non voglio che questo vi si ritorca contro in futuro. Questo è il mio consiglio e il mio piccolo contributo al popolo italiano.
Può essere vantaggioso sostenere i buoni.
Perché è quello che Dio vuole.

We receive and publish in full an open letter to our editorial staff by Rabbi Chaim Klein.
A few hours ago, after an exchange of messages with Rabbi Chaim Klein, who regrets the scarce memory of our country and much of the West about the painful and bloody events that victimized, on October 7, 2023, the Israeli people in a vicious and indiscriminate attack by Hamas terror forces assisted by some 2,200 Palestinians. That attack, which saw the death in a matter of hours of 1,400 people, including children still in swaddling clothes killed before the eyes of their parents, and the capture of more than 250 hostages, then hidden in the 700 kilometers of underground tunnels dug over time by Hamas terrorist troops, was the spark for an Israeli counter-attack to finally crush Islamic terrorism. A war that lasts to this day and unfortunately risks having serious consequences for the entire world. Before publishing Chaim Klein’s letter, it is worth recalling a few firm points:
- Israel is a parliamentary republic with a single chamber, the Knesset, which elects the president of the republic every seven years;
- since 2007, the Gaza Strip has been ruled by Hamas, an Islamist-inspired political and paramilitary organization that is recognized as a terrorist organization by the European Union and has no democratic basis; ;
- The children who are being killed under Israeli army shelling to ferret out terrorists, are children exactly like those in Israel killed horribly on October 7, 2023…but let us ask ourselves…who dug the burrows underground in the Gaza Strip, in strategic areas such as hospitals and schools?;
- War, provoked by a paramilitary terrorist action called Hamas…is war! And in war unfortunately there are no precise rules in respecting human rights;
- The last world conflict made about 70 million victims, civilians and military around the world, and even more serious during that conflict Nazi Germany exterminated about six million Jews, an event we remember as Holocaust: that was genocide!!!
Below is the article by Rabbi Chaim Klein. May it be an invitation to deep reflection for all of us.
I thought I would write about optimistic things that happens in the world. And it may be possible that the most optimistic thing is to write about the saddest thing.
Because in our current moment we are slowly starting to understand the extent of the tragedy of 7th October, 2023. I hope that the world and Italy will understand the very difficult situation at hand, and will be wiser and keep our eyes open and not let the horrors and tragedy that we have felt in Israel, come to Italy. Unfortunately, that is the direction we are heading globally.
The indicator started on October 7th, when hamas broke into private homes and committed violent atrocities in peaceful neighboring towns & communities. Killing, butchering and mutilating the same people who sent Peace Balloons to Gaza and hired them in their kibbutz.
Horrible acts of putting alive babies into household ovens and being burnt in front of their parents. The terrorist cut women with knives immediately after they were raped. Also, while they were being raped, they were cut with a knife while still being still alive. And I will try to spare you even more gruesome descriptions of other horrible act of crime against humanity. Therefore I will not continue with more descriptions.
Also, they killed young men and women who were celebrating a musical celebration. Tragically, 1163 people were killed in this atrocity. Many were burnt alive, were amputated and raped, 53 of them were children, old people, and Holocaust survivors. Some of them helped Gaza residents to get medical care in hospitals in Israel. 3300 were injured. 251 people were brutally kidnapped and are still till this day unaccounted hostages. There were about 2200 Gazans and about 3800 terrorists, who cold bloodedly participated in this massacre and murders, in where also dozens of children were beheaded.
Therefore, immediately after this horrible shock, the State of Israel began to defend itself, out of no choice, and went from defense into attack. Now the army had to shoot down terrorist in Gaza and unfortunately had to destroy infrastructure, hospitals and kinder gardens in where hamas was/and still are hiding their rockets and weapons.
Yet as of today, the peace loving countries of the world express deep sorrow and condemn of the murderers of Gaza. And then it happens that the European countries, and among them Italy are condemning Israel. And to my great regret, also the Pope. I will explain: the world countries and some Europe countries love/d to support the Jewish people/Israel when they go through ‘another Holocaust’.
Yet it seams to me, that we as a nation are allowed to defend our selves to a certain point, but not too long, because we are not allowed ‘to win’.
We have learned that the world does not like the Jewish people to win!!!
The Pope doesn’t like it either. It seams that the world like to see the Jewish people groan under the yoke of the abominable murderers. But according to SOME the Jewish people shouldn’t win.
However, we the Jewish people will defeat the murderers!!!
We will destroy those who want our destruction and all who want harm us!!!
And here I turn to you, and all the Mothers of Italy and to all the Italian Fathers. and to ALL…Residents of my beloved Italy. What would you do if terrorist put your children in your household ovens, where they were supposed to bake cakes and bread??? What would you do if your child was beheaded?
I like to ask these questions also to the heads of state, to politicians and especially to the Pope…who suffers so much regarding the children in Gaza.
In addition to this, in Italian cities and universities all the demonstrations in the name of democracy are in favor of the murderers/hamas, and indirectly support these kinds of killings of innocent people from the 7th Oct. massacre.
What I am worried about is that all these inhuman actions could turn against Europe and your country in the future. Also, whoever stays silent as far as I’m concerned, is a complicit!
In a normal and correct world, the Italian government should not have authorized any demonstration in support of these murderers. And that’s what the Italian government is doing, unfortunately.
I thought that the countries where Jewish ghettos existed during the Holocaust and until today, at least would understand what it means to kill Jews. But apparently Italy has learned nothing.
I believe that God is the leader of the world.
And I think Italy will be very sorry if does not continue to support Israel and its right to defend it self with its security policy.
Because God sees everything and hears everything.
And the Pope… we hope you can still return to see the source of G’d.
How can we return to sanity and distinguish between horrible evil and good.
Italy and the entire world have received so much from the Jewish people who for generations (unlike some of our neighbors who rather kill us) have gained from advanced technologies, agri-finntech, start up nations, soft ware development. You have received a lot in the medical field & trauma work from Israel sad experience in war and terror deeds. In many fields you examine, you will find that Jews/Israelis are supporting the development of advancing our world.
Since in the Jewish tradition, we are taught to help fellow men and repair the state of the world, many have chosen to be Doctors, Lawyers and Rabbi, etc, for the benefit of the entire world (Tikkun Olam), and as of today, including Italy.
If you are someone that does not like the Jewish people, it would be nice to at least be a bit thankful for the developed security policy aimed at eliminating murderers and defeating terror, as it could come to your neighborhood!! The hard experiences my country has gone through, can be of a huge support for humans right to live in peace in the coming western world.
It could be beneficial to learn a bit from what the Jewish Nation strives to do.
As I don’t want this to backfire on you in the future. And this is my advice and my little contribution to the Italian people.
It can be advantageous to support the good ones.
Because that’s what God wants.
